Choreographic Plant Room is an artistic mixed-reality installation exploring the digital flora of the South Pacific through dance and augmented reality. The work creates an interactive environment in which live performance, the movement of users in space, and the motion of virtual plant forms are tightly interlinked.
The installation investigates how imported botanical 3D snapshots can evoke new narratives when experienced through embodied interaction. By synchronizing physical choreography with digital motion, the work invites audiences to shift perspective and engage with plant life beyond a purely observational viewpoint.
Choreographic Plant Room was presented as part of La Nuit des Idées (The Night of Ideas) and the French Film Week at the Institut Français Berlin on June 11, 2024 and November 2024. The exploration of the convergence between physical and digital movement continued in subsequent creative sessions with students from the Ernst Busch University of Theatre Arts Berlin.
