Developers

Transient Exposure was an artistic mixed-reality installation that combined physical artifacts, partially interactive digital augmentations, and three-dimensional sound to present archival material from the Chitrasena Dance Company in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The project explored how mixed reality can offer new modes of access to cultural archives and embodied histories.

By layering digital content onto physical exhibition elements, the installation created an immersive environment in which visitors could experience the history and cultural significance of the dance company in a spatial and performative way. The combination of visual augmentation and spatial audio played a central role in conveying the embodied nature of dance beyond traditional documentation formats.

The installation was presented as part of the exhibition Extended Reality – Code and Materiality in Art and Culture by the INKA research group at the University of Applied Sciences Berlin.
